Back when this form was created, all of the English staff at my school hated Wikipedia. Some still do, I guess, but I've found it to be useful and permanent compared to a lot o the competition. There's at least an attempt at accuracy.
This website evaluation download was created before we allowed Wikipedia citations and when .edu~lastname pages were seen as authoritative. While opinions and domain names have shifted over the years, the need to consider the source has not, and Google does not get every search just right. Remember, we're talking about students who are used to asking a mobile device a question and going with the first answer.
At least make them use something like this for longer research assignments. Or whenever they don't use certain pre-approved sites. Link to Google Doc for easy online edits.
