Utilizing the 12 IB PYP Attitudes to manage the classroom, this two page document helps instill in the classroom an independent behavior management plan seamlessly for each student in the classroom. Focus on adding or assessing each new attitude as it is introduced to the class.
Students can keep this form in their behavior log or take home folder and fill it out at the end of each day. It allows them to self reflect on their learning habits. You can use a smiley face, straight fact, sad face rating scale for primary grades or a 1-5 scale for upper grades. Teachers can utilize it to make specific notes of student behaviors.
The second page allows students to pinpoint what attitude they really felt like the successfully displayed during the week and what attitude they would like to improve on the following week.
In my classroom, I am utilizing this to move away from "behavior charts" that are displayed for all to see and towards student ownership of their attitudes and parent awareness of their child's strengths.
