This is a printable handout that I used for my middle school class to record their bell ringers over the course of the week. They then turned them in at the end of the week for points. In my class they recorded the date, question, and then their answer. This way they could then be returned and used for study materials. This could be adapted for any age! I like this weekly system because it requires them to be responsible for keeping the sheet from Monday to Friday. This helped introduce some badly needed organization skills!
If you are unfamiliar with bell ringers - a bell ringer is a question or problem given to the students to be solved as they come in to class. Usually it is put up on the wall/board/overhead. It can be used to review past material or preview new material. It is also a great classroom management technique because the students start it as soon as they get to class, usually before the bell. This makes starting class much smoother, in my opinion.
Enjoy this FREE worksheet! It has been updated to contain several different versions with varying clipart for different subjects. There is a general one with a bell, and then science, social studies, math, ELA, art, and music themed clipart versions.
