Description
Help with your classroom management by creating a daily bell ringer routine. Monday through Thursday (on a normal 5 day week of school) is for practicing grammar concepts. Put a question on the board that the students can see while they walk into the classroom. Students will answer that question. In the bottom row under the "your turn!" box, students will create their own original sentence that replicates the skill you are trying to teach them.
Students must learn time management and organization skills by keeping this paper with them all week. Turn in for a grade on Thursday. On Friday, give students a short quiz over the topic that you just learned all week. Be sure to review correct answers with students daily. This bell ringer should only take 5 minutes per day! Practice 1 skill / standard per week.
Keep things simple by not labeling the date. That way you can just print off as many copies as you need each week. Have a place where students can locate this worksheet. They are responsible for getting a new one at the beginning of each week, keeping track of that paper, and turning it in on time.
