My bellwork tends to consist of quick and simple tasks to get students working right when they sit down. I like to give students a task or question at the very end of class as well in order to close the lesson.
I use this weekly template for my bellwork to (1) decrease my paper load, (2) hold students accountable for their bellwork by giving 1 weekly grade, and (3) help students to see the through-lines for the week.
You can choose to write in your questions or prompts on the sheet before copying for students or to display them on the board/ projector for students to answer on their sheets.
