I don't know about you, but I would love to have the time to observe my AAC users all day! Since SLP's are spread so thin, I figured out a way to get a better glimpse into my students AAC device usage throughout their school day. I gave my classroom this download and asked them to take data. It helps the whole team look at all of the different areas of means of communication that a student may or may not be communicating in. I write down 1 student's name under each day of the week. The teacher and classroom assistants document at least 20 communicative interactions with their AAC devices during that student's school day. Because it is only one student a day, it does not seem as overwhelming to staff. Enjoy!
