Students will enjoy this Weekly Freebie, a no-prep worksheet that provides practice in reading comprehension and reading for information. There is a short paragraph on Mount Rushmore, and five questions to answer about the reading.
This Weekly Freebie is one of the reading selections in my 3-volume Reading for Information - Famous Landmarks series. Each of those volumes includes 15 short articles and questions about famous landmarks around the world. Students improve their reading comprehension skills as they add to their general knowledge about the world.
The reading level should be appropriate for most 4th through 5th graders, and some 3rd graders. Supports Common Core standards RI.4.1, RI.4.3, RI.4.10, RI.5.1, and RI.5.10.
