Enclosed you will find nine weeks of weekly math homework for first graders. Run each week off front/back to allow for a quick review of skills on the front and story problems on the back (or number writing practice during the first few weeks).
I send it home on Monday and expect that it is turned in completed no later than Friday. It serves as an ongoing review, as well as a communication tool for parents to show what students are learning.
It could also be used as weekly morning work, with the expectation that it is completed by Friday. Then you could use it as a formative assessment tool to show you what skills students have mastered, and which need further review. It could help drive instruction, or help plan activities for small remediation or enrichment groups.
This could also be used as enrichment for kindergarten high fliers, or remediation for second grade and up, if needed.
Second, third, and fourth quarter editions coming soon!
