This template is one I use for all my classes. Each area helps the student find the information they need for each day.
The first set of boxes is for what is going to happen on that day. I usually put the main idea or the title of the lesson, along with pages to read, and the assignment in each box.
The next set of boxes is for the assignment and the due date. This helps especially for absent students.
The third set of boxes is for journal topics. This makes it very easy for students to do their journals when they come in or work ahead if they want.
I also have a place for notes for the week so I can remind them of looming deadlines or special activities.
At the bottom I have included a box for Standards and Benchmarks, so that the administration knows which I am teaching.
The header can be customized so that you can add the class and beginning date of the week.
I use this as my lesson plans that I turn into my principal. All I need to do is print the copies I need for each week. Also, if you save these in a folder for each class, and you are doing the same thing the following year, you need only update the date and you have next year's lesson plans already done.
