PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I created a packet of 36 reading passages with comprehension questions. I use these reading responses as quick comprehension practice at the start of a session.

Each of the 36 passages comes from a classic, great, book at a 3rd, 4th or 5th grade reading level. Some books include: How to Eat Fried Worms, Harry Potter, The Borrowers, and Charlotte's Web. Some great authors are featured including: Roald Dahl, Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume.

Each reading response page contains 3-5 short answer questions tailored to the passage it accompanies.

This packet is 3rd grade Common Core aligned to standards RL.3.1, RL.3.3, RL.3.4, and RL.3.6. This packet would also be appropriate for 4th, 2nd or 5th depending on students' reading levels.
