The weekly reflection sheet is a tool that allows students to fill out how they believe they have been doing throughout the week based on generic classroom rules. At the end of the week I like to distribute the sheet and have students complete them, then I have a short conferences with each student and talk about the choices they have made that week. At the end of the sheet there is a spot for them to pick an agreement that they feel they have been good at that week as well as one that they will work toward next week. The weekly reflection sheets are a good way to actively involve students in staying accountable/ responsible as well as allowing them time to reflect back on their choices. The weekly reflection sheet can also serve as a communication tool between home and school and aide in tracking/identifying areas of need and monitoring progress.
