Product Description
This STEAM enrichment activity is designed to take at least 5 sittings to complete. It included a story page to introduce the problem, and then a page fro each step of the STEAM process; Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, and Improve. This product also includes teacher pages to give tips and tricks to help students through each step. It also includes 2 different types of recording page; the first is a simple work sheet, the 2nd is designed for an interactive science journal.

This Bundle Includes 3 Products:
Weekly STEAM Enrichment {Animal Enclosure}
This STEAM activity challenges students to design a zoo enclosure for a given animal.

Weekly STEAM Enrichment {Colonial House}
This STEAM activity challenges students to design an house as if they were a colonial American.

Weekly STEAM Enrichment {Native American Exhibit}
This STEAM activity challenges students to design an exhibit in a natural history museum to teach others about a given Native American village.



Standards Covered by all 3 of these Enrichments are:
SC.2.L.17.1 Compare and contrast the basic needs that all living things, including humans, have for survival.
SC.2.L.17.2 Recognize and explain that living things are found all over earth, but each is only able to live in habitats that meet its basic needs.
SC.2.N.1.3 Ask “how do you know?” in appropriate situations and attempt reasonable answers when asked the same questions by others.

SS.2.A.2.3 Describe the impact of immigrants on the Native Americans.
SS.2.A.2.4 Explore ways the daily life of people living in Colonial America changed over time.

SS.2.A.2.1 Recognize Native Americans were the first inhabitants in North America.
SS.2.A.2.2 Compare the cultures of Native American tribes for various geographic regions of the United States.


SL.1.1 Participate in collaborative conversations with partners about grade 2 topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups.
a. Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions
b. Build on others' talk in conversations by linking their comments to the remarks of others.
c. Ask for clarification and further explanation as needed about the topics and texts under discussion.

SC.K2.CS-CC.1.4 Provide and accept constructive criticism on a collaborative project.
SC.K2.CS-CS.1.4 Solve questions individually and collaboratively using models.
SC.K2.CS-CS.2.3 Solve real life issues in science and engineering using conceptual thinking.
