A Weekly Newsletter is a great way to keep parents in the loop of what their child is doing in your class. Parents look forward to seeing what their child has been learning, especially when it is their child that is filling out the paper. I like to do this at the end of each, allowing students to reflect on the experience in that week's class. If students bring the Newsletter back signed by a parent they receive extra credit. It also makes a great homework assignment. I print out two to a page, not only saving paper, but making them the perfect size to glue into an interactive notebook.
As I monitor the room while students are filling out the Newsletter, I receive feedback on how our week went from their point of view.
Included are full page and half page versions. All you need to do is add your name and it's ready to be copied.
