My grade level uses classroom money as part of our classroom management plan. Students earn or owe money for various daily "chores" like getting their assignment notebook saved, showing expected behaviors, 100% on a test, losing classroom materials, showing unexpected behaviors, etc.
One of the ways students can earn money in my room with very little effort is to enter my weekly trivia contest. I update my classroom website and email the parents to notify them of the updates. I encourage students to sit down with their adults to read over the site ... after all, they are IN my class and should know what is going on that week! :)
My trivia question is listed on my site each week. The questions are not meant to be difficult or hard to find. They usually cover a topic we've reviewed recently. When students know the answer, they may fill out one of these slips and then their name goes into a drawing. At the end of the week I draw one of the names and a correct answer earns that student $30 classroom dollars.
These slips are small, so I save paper and cut many of them and leave them in a jar for students who want to participate in the trivia contest. You could also use these sheet as an exit slip of sorts to check for understanding.
How to get TpT credit to use for future purchases:
*Please go to your "My Purchases" page. Beside each purchase, you’ll see a "Provide Feedback" button. Simply click it and you will be taken to a page where you can give a quick rating and leave a short comment for the product. Each time you give feedback on a purchase, TpT gives you feedback credits that you use to lower the cost of your future purchases.
