This product now comes as a PDF and an editable PowerPoint. The editable PowerPoint still has nine weeks worth of warm ups, but it also allows you to insert text boxes and create your own sentences/skill practice that you would like to review with your students. The editable pages follow my premade warm ups.
This is a nine week set of weekly warm ups. Each page comes with the following: Vocabulary (analogy, synonym, antonym, homonym, context clue, or word part), Figurative Language (hyperbole, idiom, simile, metaphor, personification), sentence editing (quotation marks, proper nouns, commas in series, compound sentence, homonym, pronoun agreement, spelling, misplaced modifier), sentence combining or joining (compound sentences, complex sentences, longer simple sentence), and a writing of the week (usually creative paragraph writing, but I did throw in an acrostic poem). My seventh and eighth grade students do these every day at the start of class right after they finish copying down their homework. The warm ups don't take too long (just long enough for me to take roll) so we can get started on the main lesson. I also have them bring an independent reading book to class to read after they finish their warm up and other assignments.
For the number of pages - the PDF is 20 pages and the editable powerpoint is 26 pages, which include my cover and a thank you page in each. I inserted sample text boxes in the editable pages. I formatted my font in these sample text boxes to be equalize character height. If it isn't opening correctly in your edition of PowerPoint, then just delete that text and create new text with a font of your choice. Let me know if you have any questions. I am here to help : )
