The following product I made for my 2nd grade classroom. These are monthly word problems to make into student math journals. There are enough for the year one a week (some two a week) and I made an extra 2 for each month level Easy (E) and 2 for each month level Hard (H) to help with differentiated instruction.
September: 5 word problems, 2 Easy level, and 2 Hard level, (9 total)
October: 6 word problems, 2 Easy, 2 Hard (10 total)
November: 6 word problems, 2 E, 2H (10 total)
December: 5 word problems, 2E, 2H (9 total)
January: 5 word problems, 2 E, 2H (9 total)
February: 4 word problems, 2 E, 2H (8 total)
March: 3 word problems, 2 E, 2 H (7 total)
May: 4 word problems, 2 E, 2 H (8 total)
April: 9 Word Problems total E1, E2 7 mixed levels (9 total)
June: 4 word problems, 2 E, 2 H (8 total)
I made them seasonal so it would keep the students more interested and also to make it fun. The word problems were created for the Common Core Math Standards in second grade but could easily be used in First. There are 85 word problems in all. Hope you enjoy them and they help your kids become deeper thinkers!!!
There are two of the same word problems on each page to make the copies less. I suggest adding them to a blank journal page to give them more working space in the beginning as they are learning to "think" through the problems.
