weight training. It outlines why strength training, flexibility and aerobic fitness are key
components in an individuals’ wellness program.
This handout has over eighteen terms and definitions that relate to health and wellness
including, the FITT principle, overload, power, prone, circuit training and repetitions.
The corresponding worksheet assesses understanding of the content on the handout and can be utilized as an assessment.
The worksheet is a writing assessment and I utilize 6+1 writing traits checking for conventions, word choice and fluency. By writing in complete sentences and having students restate the question when writing, it meets the new standards for common core in writing.
