This is a welcome letter I give to all of my parents/families during "Meet the Teacher". It stresses the importance of communication throughout the school year to ensure success for their child.
It also has bullet points regarding common questions parents have about school. For example, school lunches, the first day, snack, disciplinary/classroom rules, etc. If you choose to download this letter, be sure to update the information regarding your school and teacher preferences. For example, the letter states we have snack in the afternoon, you might want to change that to the morning or not to have snack at all. You could also change it to have a fancy font. That's what I do. But when I upload documents on TPT it takes it away and generates a plain one.
The highlighted parts in the letter is where you need to put contact information/school information.
The letter references a "Student Information Sheet". I have uploaded this document on TPT for free. I give both this letter and that information sheet during "Meet the Teacher".
I love giving this letter to my families because it keeps them busy for a few minutes as well as answers a lot of questions they had to begin with.
This letter is specified for Kindergarten. If you teach another grade other than Kindergarten, be sure to change that.
