Want a fun and engaging PBL after a Financial Literacy Unit? This resource is great to get students thinking about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and what it is like to have a business and be featured on Shark Tank. Included in this resource: Shark Tank packet including step by step instructions to create a product that is innovative and unique, checklist to include in an original Shark Tank pitch and presentation, rubric to grade students on their pitch and presentation, samples of poster presentation and pitch to get students excited about being an entrepreneur, sample questions "Sharks" could ask, and financial literacy vocabulary cards with terms and definitions.
Students will create a good or service related to a problem that they would like to solve. They will brainstorm, create a one of a kind product, create a poster or powerpoint presentation and a pitch. Students will think about how much money they are seeking from sharks in order to make their product successful and how much of their business they are willing to give up just like entrepreneurs on Shark Tank do! Students will convince their classmates to invest in their product and students have invest or not invest cards that they can vote.
