We're Going on a Picnic is a multipurpose language activity targeting one-and-two-step directions and prepositions.
Preparation Time: ~15 minutes.
Here is a sneak peak of what you will find inside:
Picnic Table and Picnic Blanket: Print both images and attach two strips of velcro to the ends of the picnic table. Place the picnic blanket on top. This will create a space underneath where children can explore putting items "under" the picnic blanket.
Picnic Icons: Children can enjoy decorating their picnic table with snacks, sweets, and other fun treats!
Picnic Friends: Four friends can be found within this activity. Cut along the dotted line and fold the rectangle over. This will allow our friends to appear as if they are "sitting" at the table.
Prompt Bubbles: Prompt bubbles are included in this activity but optional to use. They feature statements such as, "Put the cheese on top of the sandwich" or "Show me something you eat. Then, show me something you drink." Feel free to create your own prompts!

About Karen George and Chicago Speech Therapy:
My name is Karen George, MS, CCC-SLP, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Chicago, Illinois. 8 years ago, I opened Chicago Speech Therapy, a premier private practice in the city. Since we opened our practice, we have grown to a thriving multidisciplinary team of more than 100 employees offering speech, feeding, ABA, and occupational therapy, as well as an on-site therapeutic preschool and kindergarten, CST Academy. I am incredibly proud of our team and the incredible gains we help children make each and every day. I hope you find my materials beneficial in your practice as well!
