This is a great activity to after reading the book, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. There are four ways to do this activity. The first is to have your students/littles draw objects that are green. For example, they can draw grass in the green box, draw a red ball in the red box, etc. (Page 3) The other option is to give your students a camera. This can be an iPhone, polaroid, or anything else. With the camera, have them take photos of objects that match the color. Then you can print it off, glue them on, and hang them up or put them in a learning binder/book. The larger squares are 4x6 so your picture should fit (pg. 4-7). Another idea is to have your child cut pictures from magazines that match the color and create a collage in the squares (pg. 4-7). Our final idea is to have the students tape the color cards onto objects of the same color (pg. 8-9)! The ideas can be endless! Enjoy your color hunt!
