PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This 30 page download includes the following zoo-themed literacy, science, and math activities for your primary classroom:

*ABC Order - 12 zoo/animal cards with pictures/words and a recording sheet
* My Animal Journal page - sheet with lines for animal's name, scientific name, diet, habitat and a space for a picture (I plan on having my kids bring this sheet and a clipboard on our zoo field trip in June)
* My Animal mini-research foldable - students will use books, the Internet, or the signs at a zoo to complete about an animal they choose or are assigned. The 4 mini pages include: cover, name/scientificname/diet, where my animal can be found (with an outline of the world map for students to X or highlight), here is a picture of my animal
* 2 graphic organizer to write notes on animal. One with boxes labeled - habitat & diet, predators, life cycle, interesting facts and one with blank boxes
* Zoo animal writing paper - primary and intermediate lines
* 3 sets of differentiated story problems (A,B,C). There are 8 problems in each set. The problems are all centered around the number of feet different animals have. Sets A and B have similar problems (with B having larger digits or a 3rd addend). Set C is the most difficult. The story problems are presented in 2 ways - 1) The story problems are outlined with dashed lines for the students to cut and paste if you choose. 2) The same problems described above, but instead of dashed lines for students to cut, each problem has a work space (with a border around it). For a class of 20, I usually make 15 copies of each set onto different colored paper. I then "assign" each student a certain set based on their readiness level.
* 3 sheets of story problems (with 3 problems on each) - addition, subtraction, money, elapsed time
* 2 sheets of telling time (digital/analog clocks)
