PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This packet, including 8 interactive files and 4 printable files, was designed for students functioning on a PreK – Kindergarten level with a goal of teaching the following concept pairs:

Another / Next
More / Less
Corner / Center
Second / Third

The packet includes 8 interactive documents designed for use in iBooks on an iPad, or on a laptop or desktop computer.

The packet also includes 4 sets of printable cards that are a duplicate of the slides presented in the interactive documents.

This packet is the fourth unit in a WE ARE LEARNING BASIC CONCEPTS series.

Suggested Activities

Interactive Files:

Provides opportunity for 20 responses each for CORNER, CENTER, SECOND and THIRD, 25 responses each for ANOTHER and NEXT, and 40 responses each for MORE and LESS.

The NEXT file includes ‘next in line’ responses as well as identifying what happens next in a sequence of events. A ‘tell the story’ activity is included for use of sequence words in context.

When using the interactive files, display an illustrated slide and read aloud the provided cue. The student should click/tap the illustration that he/she thinks is the correct response. If the student chooses the correct response a reward page appears including a descriptive statement about the illustration. Read aloud the descriptive statement and have the student imitate. If the student chooses an incorrect response a TRY AGAIN page will appear. Click TRY AGAIN to return to the original stimulus page.

Printable Cards: Includes 186 cards (52 printable pages)

These cards may be used for teaching or assessing the concepts of corner, center, second, third, another, next, more, and less.
When using the cards, call on a student to respond, then read aloud the provided cue. After identifying the correct item, have the student respond by producing a descriptive statement.
