This bundle includes short writing assignment and Vocabulary Cards to accompany each lesson in the Common Core Domain unit on Westward Expansion.
These worksheets can be completed after the lesson as “exit tickets,” homework, the next day as a quick check or at the conclusion of the unit as a review. The writing assignments focus on literal, inferential, evaluative or summative skills.
These activities supplement the Common Core Unit of Westward Expansion. They are aligned to the Domain Unit as it appears on engageny.org. These activities can be used to guide instruction in this area for teachers across the country not teaching from the published Domains. This unit would also be beneficial to upper Elementary or Middle School students struggling with comprehension difficulties.
Along with tasks to accompany each topic listed below, I have also included a Vocabulary Review and Word Posters for Key Terms that can be added to a Word Wall.
