Westward Expansion: Poster Activity
Westward Expansion..... How the US moved West...
Let your students show what they've learned about their studies of Westward Expansion by using this 8.5 x 11 poster. This poster will look great hanging outside your classroom, and parents will enjoy reading them when they are sent home.

The Westward Expansion activity has plenty of places for students to add their own creative touches with color.
The sections for the students to fill out as a writing activity are:
*Place for their name
* Title "Westward Expansion"
*What hardships were faced along the Oregon Trail?
*What were Lewis and Clark trying to accomplish on their expedition?
*How did the transcontinental railroad change the country?
*Adjectives to describe the life of a pioneer
*Explain what the California Gold Rush was, giving info. about the people and events.
Use as a center activity or even as morning work. Use it in your classroom however you would like.
