This Power Point presentation contains 84 slides teaching the major ideas, events, and vocabulary from the Westward Expansion period of U.S. history. I allow this slide show toplay on a loop in the classroom throughout the day as a preview or review of the unit. It can also be used as a lecture aid.
Included are visual cues for the major vocabulary words and a "quiz yourself" section at the end as a summarizing strategy. Slides can also be printed for students or teacher as lecture notes.
