Scoots can be done a lot of different ways! Here are some of my favorite ways:
1. Group students into small groups and give them a certain amount of cards. Group the cards by topic (for example, clouds, seasons, weather tools, etc..) This can be done on more than one day to make this unit last longer and be more of a study unit. Each day have the groups complete their task cards. Rotate cards with new groups each day. This is a great way to do a QR Scoot if you are limited on the number of devices you have. Each group would only need one device.
2. Lay cards out around the classroom. Each student has a recording sheet. They quietly walk around the room finding different cards and following the directions on each card. They can work in partners and share devices this way.
3. Place each card on a desk or student seat. Students stay in their seats and follow the directions on the card they have. At a time you say, each student passes the card one direction and then follows the directions on their new card. (this particular way might be difficult with this Scoot if you are limited on the number of devices you have. Some cards also have longer video clips than others.)
