PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

For students to be successful with numbers, they need to be comfortable with them. How better than to use manipulatives as the first step towards developing mental numerical flexibility? In primary grades, practice with counters, or manipulatives, is the first step towards making connections with numbers, or a quantity. Using a given number, students will be asked to subtract another number in two steps. At first, students use counters to help facilitate the process but with visualization and practice, students will work towards developing the ability to mentally subtract from numbers ranging from 8 to 20.
