This is a great book for learning about animal patterns. The child sees a picture of an animal pattern, such as giraffe fur. They turn the page, and see what animal it belongs to. The directions for making the pictures into a book are in the file. The pictures used are photographs of real animals and include 5 animals. The 5 animals in the book are: giraffe, zebra, clownfish, baby mountain goat, and elephant.
This is a great book for students to make and take home, teachers to make and read to the class, (You may want to make the pictures larger if it is to be read to an entire class.) or for matching on a pocket chart. If you want to make a file folder game from these pictures, shrink the pictures a little and glue them in a file folder. Another idea is to print the pictures, cut, and laminate for a matching activity for centers.
