This read-to-learn resource can be used at the beginning of a general science course in middle- or high-school. The reading defines science, technology, and engineering and gives examples of each field of activity. Three paragraphs are followed by ten comprehension questions that ask students to place activities in one or more of the three categories. The activity also includes ten optional open-ended activities that can be used for deeper or high-level learning. Two claim-evidence-response questions are included. Grade 10 reading level.
