Description

What are Verbs?—PowerPoint and Practice Activities are combined together for a more comprehensive unit on verbs and to save you time and money!

The PowerPoint contains over 50 slides divided into three parts. Part 1 introduces and defines verbs. Types of verbs (physical and mental action; state of being) are also taught. In Part 2 students learn about the role verbs have in sentences. Part 3 focuses on simple verb tenses. Interactive slides review concepts and provide practice. Teaching tips are included as Comments for most of the slides. Printable verb tense charts are provided as well as samples of note-taking.

The Practice Activities include Verb Category Sorts, Verb Tense Sorts, as well as a board game, Valuable Verbs Volcano Adventure, and dice game, Verb Vahtzee. What a fabulous way to engage your students as they reinforce and improve their knowledge of verbs!
