Product Description
**Halloween Fun for Kindergarten**
These leveled reader little books will help young students practice early reading skills, while celebrating Halloween!

This set includes 3 leveled readers: one for each of the levels A, B, and C. The three books all include the same illustrations, while the text varies in difficulty. This will make it easy to differentiate for the various needs in your classroom.

Level A book:
This story uses a predictable pattern, "I can_______" to support emerging readers. The following Halloween verbs are included: fly (witch), eat (vampire), dance (witch), carve a pumpkin, rattle my bones (skeleton), and scare you (ghost).

Level B book:
This story uses a predictable pattern, "Look at me. I can _______" to support emerging readers. The following Halloween verbs are included: fly (witch), eat (vampire), dance (witch), carve a pumpkin, rattle my bones (skeleton), and scare you (ghost).

Level C:
This book includes the same Halloween words as the other two: fly (witch), eat (vampire), dance (witch), carve a pumpkin, rattle my bones (skeleton), and scare you (ghost).; however, the text is not patterned. Students must rely on sight word vocabulary, as well as some simple decoding.

Here is some sample text from a couple of pages:
Here is a little witch. She can go up, up, up.
Look at the funny skeleton. It can rattle its bones.

These books include the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!

If you like this emergent reader with a “Halloween” theme,
you might like some of my other little books that would be great to use in your kindergarten classroom around Halloween.
