Product Description
This is a small group reader's theater is for 4 students. This ties science into reading and is a great way to do two things at the same time. This script was intended to introduce or reinforce a lesson about fossils, dinosaurs, and theories. In Spanish this script is called '¿De qué color eran los dinosaurios?'

In the script, Juan and George are arguing about what color dinosaurs were. Sage and Rita try to help by telling them about fossils. Juan and George didn’t know what they were until they were told. They learn that there are many different types of fossils and that these fossils tell us many things about dinosaurs. However, scientists are still unsure what color dinosaurs were. In the end, Juan has evidence for his theory and George has evidence for his. There is an opinion writing prompt for the students to do at the bottom of the last page.

We use reader's theaters to encourage our students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. Most of our scripts are in black and white so they photo copy easily and do not waste ink. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice and you get less off task behaviors.

Our names are Julio Lopez and Melanie Whitesides but our store name is LosDosMaestros and we hope that your students enjoy this script as much as ours did. If you like this script look for more science related scripts at our store. Please let us know how things go!

If you would like a copy of this script in English go to Wonbyone's store!
