This packet is a template for you to handout to your students and use for various subjects and stories. You decide how many rounds to play and the time limit you want to give them to fill out their meme.
You can also put them in groups to make the judging more manageable. Or you can have each group come up with one together and you be the judge.
You can print out images, quotes, vocabulary words, characters, or anything that encompasses the topic you are covering OR you can display it on the front board.
Find an image, quote, character, vocabulary word (or anything from your subject).
Display it for the students (or have them printed out for each group).
Students will use the “Freestyle” cards and create their own meme for it.
They will lay them all face down in a pile (except the judge), and the judge will choose the best one.
You can either keep points on the score card OR the winner keeps the picture.
The person/group with the most points (or pictures) at end wins.
*Students should follow the rubric if you are giving a grade for this assignment.
* It can also just be used as an individual assignment without playing the game with other students. Of course you will determine what you think your class can handle.
