What Do You Regret? takes a look at eleven topics of actions individuals regret:
• Drinking and Driving
• Drug Abuse
• Making Poor Decisions
• Bullying
• Not Standing Up for What You Believe
• Not Forgiving Others
• Hurting Others
• Not Telling The Truth
• Abusing Other People or Animals
• Jealous Actions

Eleven class activities are suggested:
• Write a poem.
• Write a letter to yourself.
• Write a letter to your bully.
• Write a letter to someone who bullied you.
• Write a song.
• Apologize.
• Make better choices.
• Pay kindness forward.
• Join Support Groups.
• Find something to believe in.
• Write an essay and shred your secrets.
(Paper Shredder needed for shredding written essays.)

These activities help students become fluent, organized, confident, skilled thinkers and writers! Regrets address higher level thinking skills for small group, individual, whole class, or writing center instruction. Use the Classroom Activities as Warm-Up Work, Bell Ringers, Class Enders, or for Writer’s Workshop!
