“Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?” is one of my Kindergarteners’ favorite books! It is also a great way to introduce or practice colors. These pages are a perfect companion to Brown Bear and will help early learners identify colors.
For each color included in Brown Bear (brown, red, yellow, blue, green, purple, white, black, and gold) there are two practice pages. On the first page, students will read the color word, color the animal the same color as in the book, and trace a sentence (for example: “I see a brown bear.”). On the second page, students trace the color word, identify objects that are that color, and draw something that is the same color. There is also a page for students to write about their favorite color.
These pages would be great bound together as a book (I included a cover in the unit) or as individual practice pages.
I hope that you and your students enjoy it!
