Have fun practicing prepositional phrases in sentences while playing this fun game that is inspired by the book The Gingerbread Man and the famous song "What Does The Fox Say?"
Prep: Print the prepositional phrases playing cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. Print up enough Fox Game Cards (Page 3) for each student in the group on cardstock and laminate. 36 prepositional phrase cards included and some are related to the story The Gingerbread Man
Directions: Place the cards face down. Students pick up a card practicing creating a sentence with the prepositional phrase on the card. If they pick up a fox card, they get to put a chip/token on one of their foxes. The first student to collect all the foxes wins!
Option #2: Use the stimulus cards and have each student pick a card from the deck and practice creating a sentence with the prepositional phrase. If their card has a fox on it, they get to say “yum, yum, yum, yum, yum” because it ate the gingerbread man. Kids will have fun anticipating the fox!
