What Element Am I Walkabout
Students apply their knowledge of the periodic table and common knowledge about metals, nonmetals and metalloids to discover the identity of several elements from the periodic table. The activity is in a “walkabout” format where students maneuver around the room reading and answering posted questions about the elements of the periodic table. Included are student instructions and all necessary answer sheets and clue cards. The activity is in line with the VA Standards of Learning for the sixth grade, but may be used with others as questions can be made more difficult or easy.
