An activity that’s meant to tie in life skills and social emotional learning to the content being taught. There are times I use this activity as its own lesson. If I see students exhibiting a pattern of acting and talking in negative ways, I will use take the opportunity to teach this lesson. Other times, I will use this lesson in a language arts class as a character analysis, or as a way to make text-to-life connections to a story or reading. Either way, it’s a great activity that helps students understand the possible consequences of their negative (and positive) thoughts.
