Reinforce sight words, nouns/verbs, story retell, and writing a response with these fun and engaging emergent readers and corresponding activities! This bundle features 3 emergent readers. "What I Love Part 1" practices the sight words I, love, my, said, what, do, you. Kids tell people and things they love. "What I Love Part 2" practices the sight words I, love, to, go, the, I, can, said, for, with. Kids tell places they love to go and why. "What I Love Part 3" practices the sight words I, love, to, said, can, make, play. Kids tell activities that they love to do. Each reader has two levels of corresponding writing practice. Beginning writers will have a traceable sentence starter and more advanced writers will write a complete sentence. Students will draw someone or something they love and write a sentence to match. They will draw a place they love to go and write a matching sentence. Students will draw a favorite activity and write a matching sentence. I have also included a template to make a "What We Love" class book. To practice nouns/verbs, I have included noun and verb pocket chart header cards and pictures. There are two ways to practice. Either sort nouns by person, place, thing or sort pictures by noun or verb. Last, I have included pocket chart retelling sentences and picture cards for each reader. You can use these activities whole group, small group, or as a center.
