PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students should be using revision strategies as they compose fiction stories, and after they compose. This checklist will help students keep track of which ones to focus on as they are writing, as well as after. Students will learn that some revisions should be automatic, and some we need to think about. Students can assess themselves, and become more responsible for their writing pieces.

The checklist focuses on characters, setting, problem/solution as well as a strong beginning and ending. It can be used in second grade through fifth grade as a supplement for when students are writing fiction stories independently.
