Pg. 3 High Frequency Word I – Draw a picture, use it in a sentence, roll the dice to see what color to write it.
Pg. 4-8 Letter Pages! – roll the dice to see what color to write the letters, draw a picture of a word that begins with the letter, complete various activities: color the letters, tic tac toe, color the picture, count the letters
Pg. 9 Draw a Picture of Yourself! – write your name, how old you are, what you can do – practice using the word “I”
Pg. 10 My Family is Special! – draw a picture of your family, Why is your family special?
Pg. 11-14 What’s Rhyming in My School? Copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the lines to create doors – cut out the pictures on page C, match the rhyming words and glue them inside the school in the boxes – enough pictures on page C for two students
Pg. 15-16 Rhyming Bubbles! – find the rhyming pictures in the bubbles, color the rhyming bubbles with different colors
Pg. 17 My Family! Nouns – cut out the boxes and attach them at the top left corners with a brad to create a sliding book, draw members of your family and label them – ex. mom, dad, sister, brother, cousin, aunt, uncle, grandma, grandpa…
Pg. 18-19 My family Does Many Things! – fold to create a book, think of three things your family does together, write and illustrate – for example: We exercise. We watch movies…
Pg. 20-24 I am Many Labels! - a book you can read and interact with – Copy pages A and B back to back, choose a character to be you, color and cut it out, cut out the pocket and glue it onto the front of the book – glue only the sides and bottom to create a pocket – think of your own labels for the back of the page – example: I am a cousin, I am a sister, I am an athlete, I am an artist… - there are two page choices for the inside of the book – one for boys and one for girls – keep your character in the pocket
Pg. 25-28 Sort the Words! – copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the solid line and cut on the dotted line – cut out the pictures on page C, sort them and glue them under the correct flap – enough pictures for two students
Pg. 29-32 Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! – read the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (can find this on Youtube if you do not own it) – copy patterns onto correct colored construction paper, glue the trunk onto blue construction paper, cut out the palms and fringe them like a feather with your scissors, add the letters – use only the letters from lesson 1 or choose which ones to use
Pg. 33-34 Capital and Lowercase Concentration! – copy off the letters, add to cardstock and laminate – this game only has the letters introduced in lesson 1
Pg. 35-41 Alphabet Zapped! – Every player gets an umbrella card, take turns picking up raindrops and identifying the letters, pick up a lightening bolt and return your letters to the pile – can be played with letter sounds, use only the letters introduced in lesson 1 or use the whole alphabet – can be laminated – up to 5 players
