Students will build number sense using ten frames. After they see number is shown, they will explain how they saw that number. For example, students may see the ten frame with the number 8 as 5 dots on top and 3 on the bottom. Your students will then decide how many more dots are needed to make 10.
These worksheets were inspired by the ideas in the book Number Talks. Students may subitize or use strategies from the book to solve the problem.
This packet includes ten frame worksheets for number 2-9.
