This is a language arts book study, using the Dr Seuss book "What Pet Should I Get?" Teaching young students to think and make connections as they read. Also to introduce them to critical thinking and making choices skills by "Would you rather" Tasks; these are supported with an image.
There is a QR Code for the text.
These tasks require students to make connections (Text to Self; Text to Text; Text to World)
There are also tasks encouraging Close Reading Skills and higher order thinking. Students are asked to choose, justify, explain and retell.
This is a great resource for your reading center or as a whole class book study.
