This activity includes 30 cards, each with 6 pictures for students to identify the initial sound. This activity can be done orally or you can have students write the sound or use other alphabet manipulatives to record their answers. My kids love using magnet letters or scrabble tiles for this activity.
We often use this activity as a warm up as a whole class, or in literacy centres as small groups. It can be done quickly and the answer cards, which come in both upper and lower case form, allow for students to quickly check their own work.
I hope your kids enjoy this activity and that you find it useful in your classroom.
Thanks for your support.
