This great hands-on task can be used as a one off lesson or as a unit on time, in particular, minutes. It teaches students about the concept of a minute, and how it can appear to feel long, or short, depending on the activity. It also introduces the idea of estimating before completing an experiment.
This task was made for a high school special education class, and can be used with a variety of ages/stages, especially the early years.
This lesson would also be great for a relief teacher to use, in conjunction with videos of the TV Minute to Win it, as an engaging task about time.
