This is the follow up activity to the previously posted "What Things Cost Pets" Internet research project. I have found that these are good Friday activities for my 12th grade Economics students. The students will begin the "What Things Cost" activity on a Friday - it will be due the following Friday. We will spend a good portion of time on the Friday due date working on this "Follow Up" activity. Sometimes it takes the entire 50 minute period for the students to walk the room and find out what their classmates have discovered. I have found that my 12th graders may not want to share out - and talk in a group setting about their projects - but they do enjoy talking to each other about what they've discovered during their pet research. I will tell them that they are doing the Follow Up correctly if they are "out of their seats and walking the room chatting with their classmates". Sometimes I will give extra points for the students whose pets are voted the "best" or "worst" in class. One boy last semester won the vote for best and worst pet - he had chosen a chicken for his pet!
