This is a list poem which describes what a concussed person can do during brain rest. In our busy, screen filled lives, and especially for teens, imagining brain rest can be challenging.
I call this a prescription poem. It can be used by a therapist, counselor or any medical professional to help someone understand brain rest. It is a handout that can be used for different talking points about how to rest your brain.
This poem is part of my book, "Make Art from Your Splattered, Scattered Brain: My journey through post-concussion syndrome."
