Product Description
This activity is played much like "Chutes & Ladders" and is used to practice categorizing regular past tense verbs into categories: /id/, /t/, and /d/.
Each player will choose a card and read the word on the card aloud. He/she will then decide which discard pile that word belongs to: /id/, /t/, or /d/. If the player is correct, he/she will follow the directions on the card. If he/she is incorrect, the card will be placed at the bottom of the draw pile and it is the next player's turn.
The winner is the player that arrives at the hut first.
During the game, players might land on a vine ("ladder") or waterfall ("chute") which will allow them to either move ahead or move back.
