Looking for something fun for Pi Day (and incorporating food in the lesson is always fun)? This is a lab sheet in which students measure diameter and circumference of circular objects with cookies and (a cup) of milk. I like to bring a variety of cookies with different sizes. Students work in pairs or groups to measure other objects, record results, and answer questions. The questions that are in the lab encourage the discovery of pi. Group Data Cards are also included for students to record their group's data of circumference divided by diameter that can be used to create a group average.
